Waubeeka’s 7th hole is a medium length par 3 that requires the player to carry the Green River which fronts the putting surface. The blue and white tee boxes are frequently played from an elevated position, while the red and gold tee boxes create a fairly level approach.
Missing the 7th green left or long is a mistake as the hillside features long, thick rough. The right side is well-bunkered. Short is the river. Accuracy is at a premium here, with trouble lurking everywhere.
The large green has some interesting contours, but is very putt-able. It slopes from back to front, but not too steeply. The green is very receptive to short- and mid-iron shots. While certainly not a “pitch and putt” sort of par 3, a good player should view this hole as a real birdie opportunity. Given the prevailing breezes tend to be from right to left, it favors a shot shaped to follow that path.
