Many players don’t hit driver off the tee at Waubeeka’s 9th Hole. Although nearly 400 yards long, there is a large pond that fronts the green and comes back toward the tee box to the 120 yard range. It is definitely reachable off of the tee.
If you look down the left center of the fairway, you will see a telephone pole out on Route 7. That is a great line for your tee shot to end up on. Getting there with a draw or a cut is your choice as #9 is fairly receptive to both. Lots of fairway woods and utility clubs get hit off the tee here and lots of short irons get hit into this green.
Speaking of the green, it is well protected by the aforementioned pond. Avoid the temptation to bail out long as a a shot over the green brings out of bounds into play and leaves a difficult downhill chip. The green slopes severely from back right to front left. Good players will likely hit 9 iron or a wedge into this green, making it a real birdie potential. Avoid the bunkers right.
