FRIDAY NIGHT DINNERS!
“There’s nowhere else in town that you can get a meal that good for that price,” says Waubeeka member and Friday night regular Allen Jezouit. “I had the baked stuffed scallops, and they were dynamite. My son had the prime rib and it was straight out of Flintstones. My wife loves the salad bar.”

COURSE UPDATE
The golf course is in fabulous condition. Starting May 1, tee times will be available from 7AM each day except Wednesdays (9AM start). The driving range is open from 6:45AM to 6:30PM daily.

Cleveland demo day is Saturday, May 4th from 11AM-4PM. Try out the latest clubs from Cleveland on our driving range with club fitter and Cleveland rep Brittany Roberts and our LPGA instructor Erika DeSanty.

Pub & Grill Open For Lunch
We’re open daily at 7AM for breakfast sandwiches, 11AM-8PM Monday thru Friday for lunch and dinner, and 7AM-4PM on weekends.

NEW SENIOR LEAGUE
Senior league begins Tuesday, May 8th with a 10AM start. Please call Millsy in the golf shop if you are interested in joining 458.8355.

Grounds Department Update

Welcome Back Everyone! Its hard to believe that we have been open for almost a month now. If you played the course recently you would of thought it was July due to the high temps and lack of moisture in the ground. However, as I’m writing this it’s raining like crazy and the forecast models have us getting over 2-4 inches of rain for the next couple days.

My staff and I have been very busy taking advantage of this dry weather and have already aerated the greens back in March and as of today they are almost completely healed. The cold nights and lack of rain delayed the healing process some. This current storm should really put us into high gear mowing and grooming the course on a more consistent basis. It was nice having the place play so fast and firm but we can’t complain, it’s only April. Fortunately, all the internal drainage we have put in over the past few years will allow the course to take a lot more rain then it previously could. We will evaluate the course on Monday and give everyone an update then to see if we will have any temporary disruption of play.

I wanted to say thank you to my staff for all the hard work and attention to detail they bring to the course on a daily basis. Without you guys we wouldn’t have such a beautiful course for everyone to enjoy. On that note I’m excited to say that we have started a Friday night Grounds Staff League and it has been a blast enjoying the course with my staff. I wish we started this back in 2006 when I first came on board. Friday night at Waubeeka is truly a special time. You can’t beat the camaraderie with the guys and the food and service at the Pub and Grill when we finish a round here is the best in the area.

In closing, I’d like to say thanks to Mark Mills and all of his staff for doing a great job in the Club House as well as The Pro Shop. Pro shop looks Great!!
